“Y’all bitches are really bugging. Kaylin did not hit me. A nigga at work did and if y’all would’ve asked me or even called Kay’Nine, then you would have known. Damn shame.” I snapped at Dream and them as we rode. I ended up telling them the story and by the time we got to the hospital, their facial expressions had changed.

“Oh, well you still need to be checked out. So, we gon do that. I’m not apologizing for what we did because he could have said something and that’s what he get for sitting his ass there and not doing something about it.” Dream killed me. That bitch hated to apologize to anybody. Stubborn bitch. I went and checked in. While I waited to go back, I couldn’t help but think about the night before. Nigga was really bugging. I don’t know what he was thinking. When I got to the back, they weighed me and everything. They even took my urine for a pregnancy test. I just shook my head at the thought. When I was all done, they sent me to have an MRI done. Then I was sent to the room where I waited for the doctor. I was mad as hell that I didn’t have my cell phone. I know that these people probably called the police thinking Kaylin beat my ass. I could imagine what these nurses and shit was saying about me.

“Ms. Roberts. I’m Dr. Bull. How are you?”

“I’m okay. I have a terrible headache though.”

“Okay. I’m looking at your MRIs and you have no swelling. Your brain isn’t bleeding. So that’s good. Have you been feeling nauseous or have you thrown up?” He asked.

“I feel nauseous, but I haven’t threw up. I have also been feeling a little light headed.”

“Okay. All symptoms are pointing to what I already thought it was. You have a minor concussion. I am going to keep you here over night to observe you. I know you walked in here and everything, but it was probably only a matter of time before you fell out even if it was briefly.”

“Okay.” I really was not trying to be in the hospital even overnight but if they were going to help me then I guess I was down.

“Sit tight for a minute while we get you a room. We know the police will here at some point because we were obligated to call with things like this. They are going to question you.”

“Okay. I understand.” I nodded before I laid back on the bed. It wasn’t long before Dream and them, walked in the room. “They keeping me. Let me see one of y’all phones.”

“Here you go.” Alyssa handed me her phone and I hurried up to call Kaylin. He answered right before it was about to go to voicemail.

“Yo?”

“Baby, it’s me. I’m at the hospital and they are keeping me here. I don’t know what room they are keeping me in yet but don’t forget the kids.”

“I’m not. I’mma be up there in a few.
